Share Market Opening Bell: The Indian stock market opened in the green today on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. During early trade, BSE Sensex (as of 09:45) was seen at 76,744.40 with a rise of 265.73 points or 0.35 per cent. At the same time, NSE Nifty was trading at 23,954.30, up 88.55 points or 0.37 percent. Out of the top-30 Sensex stocks, 20 stocks were trading strongly, while 10 stocks were showing a slight decline.
Media and FMCG shares were leading the market rise in early trade. Nifty Media and Nifty FMCG were gainers among the indices. Nifty Consumer Durables, Nifty Auto, Nifty Realty, Nifty India Defence, Nifty Infra, Nifty Energy and Nifty Services were also in the green. Nifty Metal and Nifty Commodity were in the red.
Today’s Top Gainers and Losers
Along with largecaps, midcaps and smallcaps were also trading strongly. The Nifty Midcap 100 index was up 116 points or 0.19 per cent at 61,914 and the Nifty Smallcap 100 index was at 18,951, up 90 points or 0.48 per cent. M&M, Titan, Eternal, HUL, Adani Ports, UltraTech Cement, Maruti Suzuki, Sun Pharma, Asian Paints, ITC, Bharti Airtel, TCS, Power Grid, Bajaj Finance and BEL were the gainers in the Sensex pack. Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Finserv, HCL Tech, L&T, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, NTPC and Trent were the losers.
Condition of other markets in Asia
Most of the Asian markets are trading at a brisk pace. Tokyo, Shanghai, Bangkok and Jakarta were in the green, while Seoul was in the red. American stock market Tuesday closed in the green, with Dow Jones gaining 0.26 percent and Nasdaq closing with a gain of 1.52 percent.
Crude oil prices rise
At the same time, a rise in crude oil is being seen. WTI crude was up 0.43 percent at $69.80 per barrel and Brent crude was up 0.44 percent at $73.27 per barrel. on tuesday domestic institutional investors (DII) continued buying in equities and invested Rs 6,842.34 crore. At the same time, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold Rs 2,556.75.
