India has been dependent on Russian energy for a long time. New Delhi has repeatedly faced questions in the international circles for importing oil from Russia. But this time the world will see the opposite. Faced with energy crisis, Russia has started importing gasoline from India. Russia’s energy production facilities have come under attack in the more than four years of Russia-Ukraine war. Because of that, the energy crisis has started in Russia.

It is known that the administration of Vladimir Putin has set limits on the purchase of gasoline. The price is increasing. Among them, Russian people are standing in long lines to collect gasoline. India stands by Russia during such a crisis of ‘friends’. According to news agency Reuters, India has already exported 60 thousand metric tons of gasoline to Russia. According to other sources, the amount of gasoline exported is 70 thousand metric tons. But it is not known from which refinery of India the gasoline is being exported. Russia has started the process of buying gasoline not only from India but also from several other countries.

Note that the daily demand of gasoline in Russia during summer is about 1 lakh 10 thousand metric tons. A large amount of this gasoline is produced within Russia. But Ukraine’s attack destroyed most of the energy production facilities. Deplorable condition of fuel refineries too. Because of that, there is a shortage of gasoline in Russia. Belarus has already tripled its gasoline exports to Russia. They have exported more than 70 thousand metric tons of gasoline.

Putin has acknowledged that the Ukraine attack has caused massive damage. Due to which there is a shortage of petrol-diesel. In this situation, he has assured to increase the security of oil facilities and increase the production in addition to rushing the export. Putin also said the impact of Ukraine’s drone attacks on oil facilities should be minimized. This is the main reason for fuel shortage. Officials said no action should be taken that could create new problems for oil producers.
