Was Vijay’s government going to fall? Offer of Rs 35 crore; Three accused arrested so far

The revelations of horse-trading created an uproar in Tamil Nadu politics. An MLA from Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay’s party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) claimed that he had received an offer of Rs 35 crore in exchange for leaving the party. Now the police registered a case based on the MLA’s revelations and arrested three people.

 

The MLA also said that he was threatened in order to influence his vote in a legislative proposal. This was disclosed by TVK MLA N. Ilayaraja did it. He accused former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin of conspiring to topple the government by joining hands with the AIADMK.

 

 

The accused, arrested following the MLA’s complaint, have been identified as Thirunavukkarasu, Thiagarajan, a resident of Chennai, and Naresh, a resident of Tiruchirappalli. In his complaint, MLA Ilaiyaraaja said that he was first contacted by Thirunavukkarasu. He said that he runs an opinion polling organization named Indian Political Democratic Strategies.

 

At the behest of a major political party of the state, he is contacting them. According to the MLA, Thirunavukkarasu offered Rs 35 crore. In return asked to vote against the Assembly Speaker. The MLA received threats for rejecting the proposal.

Vijay’s minister cornered DMK

TVK alleges that V Ashok, brother of Senthil Balaji, who was a minister in the DMK government, had met one of the accused Naresh in Chennai. The claim is that Thirunavukkarasu acted on the alleged instructions of V. Senthil Balaji and V. Ashok Kumar. Minister P Nirmal Kumar said that MK Stalin is not able to digest TVK’s victory. TMK Stalin and his team have been continuously trying to bring our MLAs to their side for the last 40 days.

 

 

The minister further alleged that one of our MLAs was threatened by DMK people. Senthil Balaji and his brother Ashok were involved in this. Nearly Rs 35 crore was allegedly offered to one of our MLAs with his support. P Nirmal Kumar described the three accused as close to Senthil Balaji.
