With the beginning of the month of July, gas companies have released new rates for the general public and traders. Oil marketing companies have given huge relief to businessmen by making a big change in the prices of LPG Cylinder on the very first day of the month. Companies have reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by a bumper Rs 183.50.
These new rates of gas cylinders have come into effect in the entire country from today i.e. July 1, 2026. This decision of the government and companies will directly benefit hotels, restaurants, dhabas, catering services and small and big businessmen and it is expected that their costs will reduce.
Know how much cheaper commercial gas cylinder became?
If you want to know how much impact this will have on your pocket, as per the new prices, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by ₹183.50. After this huge reduction, now this commercial cylinder will be available in the country’s capital Delhi for ₹ 2,930. However, there may be slight variation in prices due to local taxes, transportation charges and octroi in different states and cities of India.
Who are going to get silver now?
Commercial LPG cylinders are mainly used by your nearby hotels, restaurants, sweet shops, tea stalls, cafes and wedding catering service providers. In such a situation, due to such a huge reduction in cylinder prices, the daily expenses of all these businesses will reduce to a great extent. This is also expected to provide great relief to small shopkeepers and street traders, because the costs to their kitchen will now be less than before.
There is no change in the price of domestic gas cylinder, pockets will remain loose
On one hand, commercial cylinders have become cheaper, while on the other hand, those who manage home kitchens are a little disappointed this time. Companies have not made any change in the prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder this time. That means common domestic consumers will have to buy gas cylinders at the same price as before. Let us tell you that on the first of every month, oil marketing companies review crude oil and issue new rates according to market fluctuations.
How are these LPG prices decided?
This question arises in the minds of many people that how do these prices change suddenly. Actually, LPG cylinder prices depend on many international and domestic factors. These mainly include the current prices of Crude Oil and LPG in the international market, the position of the Indian Rupee against the US Dollar, the transportation cost of sending gas from one place to another and the tax policies of the government. Only after closely assessing all these aspects, oil companies revise the rates from time to time.
Relief for businessmen, will the general public get the benefit?
Market experts and analysts believe that due to cheaper commercial LPG cylinders, the cost of running food businesses like hotels and restaurants will reduce to some extent. However, whether its direct benefits will reach the plates of common customers or not, i.e. whether hoteliers will reduce food prices or not, will completely depend on the decision of shopkeepers and businessmen. If this trend of falling prices continues in the coming months, then small traders may get further strength from this.
At present, these new rates, implemented from July 1, have definitely brought a smile on the faces of traders using commercial gas, while common consumers managing their household budget will have to wait a little longer for relief.
