Political activity intensifies on Akhilesh Yadav’s birthday, Rahul Gandhi’s message gives big signal to UP elections

Knews Desk- Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav has been giving the slogan of PDA i.e. Backward, Dalit and Minority in the state politics for a long time. This PDA formula had given a tough challenge to the Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav is celebrating his birthday today on Wednesday. On this occasion, many top leaders including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BSP chief Mayawati congratulated him.

Meanwhile, the birthday greetings given by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi have further increased the political stir. On this occasion, Rahul Gandhi tried to include political flavor in his greeting message to Akhilesh today. Both Congress and Samajwadi Party are part of the India Alliance and are preparing to contest the elections in UP next year together. However, statements of leaders from both sides are continuously coming out regarding seat sharing.

Talk about PDA in birthday greetings

But Rahul Gandhi gave his message to both the parties by mentioning PDA on Akhilesh’s birthday. He said in his post on social media platform

This PDA formula had given a big blow to BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and SP had surprised the political equations by winning the maximum 37 seats in the state.

Rhetoric intensified in Congress-SP alliance

Before the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, discussions are on for an alliance under the PDA formula between the Samajwadi Party and the Congress, although differences are also emerging between the two parties regarding seat sharing. Congress MP Imran Masood had recently claimed that the party is preparing to contest alone on all 403 seats in the state, due to which there is confusion regarding the alliance. Uttar Pradesh Congress in-charge Rajendra Pal Gautam has said. That seat distribution should be on 50-50 formula, so that both the parties can get equal share and respect.
