Changes with the beginning of a new month
New Delhi: As the month of June ended, the beginning of July has given rise to many important changes. There are some changes at the beginning of every month, and this time too many rules have changed, which will have a direct impact on your pocket.
Reduction in prices of commercial LPG cylinders
Oil distribution companies have reduced the prices of commercial LPG cylinders from July 1. The price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in the national capital is now Rs 2,930, which was earlier Rs 3,113.50. However, the price of 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains stable at Rs 942.
New facility to update email in Aadhaar
Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced that if you want to update email ID in your Aadhaar, this service will be free from July 1 to December 31. Earlier a fee of Rs 75 was charged for this process. This step is to encourage people to update the latest information in Aadhaar.
Increase in passport making fees
The government has increased the fees for making passport. Now you will have to pay Rs 2,500 for a normal passport and Rs 5,000 for a Tatkal passport. This new fee has come into effect from July 1.
Increase in vehicle prices
Many vehicle companies have increased their prices from July 1. Tata Motors has increased the prices of its passenger vehicles by 1.5 percent and commercial vehicles by 2.5 percent. Kia Motors, BMW and MG Motors have also increased their prices by 2-2 percent and 3 percent respectively.
Changes in credit card rules
There have also been changes in the rules of many credit cards from July 1. SBI Card has changed the reward points for some PhonePe SBI cards. HDFC Regalia Gold Credit Card holders will now be able to avail free domestic airport lounge access three times per quarter, provided they spend a minimum of Rs 60,000 per quarter.
