Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Tuesday launched a strong attack on BJP National President Nitin Naveen. Actually, Nitin Naveen is on his three-day Telangana tour. On Tuesday, he said about Congress that it supports the forces trying to divide the country. He further said that this is the reason why Congress is becoming synonymous with corruption as well as criminalization of politics.
After Nitin Naveen’s statement, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy refused to recognize the BJP president in a meeting. He said, ‘Recently, a man came here, Naveen or whoever, I don’t know his name properly. But he comes here and says, ‘The next government is theirs.’ You had said the same about West Bengal. It took you 15 years in West Bengal. Because Mamata Banerjee was there, your tricks could work. But here, all our people are ready and they will crush you.
‘I will not run the government on the basis of lies’
CM Revanth Reddy further said, ‘I have no desire to wear big crowns, nor do I have any intention of accumulating diamonds and wealth. Power is temporary, it lasts for some time and then goes away. Power was not permanent even for Indiramma, NTR, nor for Rajasekhara Reddy. Power is not permanent even for me. Only one’s words are permanent. All I am trying to do is to earn the reputation that ‘if he makes his point, he will stick to it to any extent.’ I will not run this government on the foundation of lies.
Asked for expenses on Rahul Gandhi’s foreign trip
Addressing the BJP state executive meeting on Tuesday, Nitin Naveen said that BJP workers will hold the state Congress government accountable for the government money spent on Rahul Gandhi’s foreign trip.
He said, ‘Congress and corruption are synonymous with each other. I feel that criminalization of politics is also becoming synonymous with Congress. The way the forces trying to divide the country with nefarious intentions get support from the Congress, I think the Congress party will be known for corruption and criminalization of politics.
Talk about blooming lotus in ‘Trilinga’
Appealing to the BJP leaders and workers to create a Congress-free Telangana, the BJP President said, ‘I am confident that just as the lotus bloomed in ‘Banga’ (West Bengal) and ‘Kalinga’ (Odisha), similarly we will see the lotus blooming in the land of ‘Trilinga’ (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh) too.’
