Ranveer Singh seems to have already moved on to his next big project after the success of Dhurandhar. While fans have been waiting to know what’s next for the actor, a fresh report has now revealed that his much-talked-about zombie survival thriller Pralay is finally getting ready to go on floors. Directed by Jai Mehta, the film is reportedly expected to begin production later this year, with Australia set to become one of its biggest shooting locations.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, Pralay is expected to go on floors in September 2026. A major portion of the film will reportedly be shot in Australia, where the makers have already begun pre-production.

The report states that Ranveer Singh has started preparing for the film, which will require extensive physical training because of its action-heavy and survival-based storyline.

A source quoted by the publication said that the actor has already begun prep for the project, adding that the film demands both physical and emotional preparation because of its scale and genre.

The report further claims that Jai Mehta and his team are currently working with international technicians in Australia to build the film’s post-apocalyptic world before filming begins.

Pralay is also expected to rely heavily on visual effects, with the screenplay and the larger zombie universe still being developed. Ranveer is reportedly involved in the creative process as the film continues to take shape.

If reports are to be believed, Pralay is being mounted on a budget of nearly ₹300 crore, making it the most expensive standalone film of Ranveer Singh’s career so far.

The report also suggests that actor Kalyani Priyadarshan has been cast opposite Ranveer, marking her Bollywood debut. However, the makers are yet to officially confirm the casting.

Reports suggest that Pralay is set in a dystopian Mumbai and follows a married couple as they fight to stay alive after a zombie outbreak turns the city into chaos. While zombie films aren’t common in Bollywood, the makers are reportedly aiming to bring the genre to the big screen on a much larger scale.

Separately, Ranveer Singh was recently spotted outside filmmaker Hansal Mehta’s office in Mumbai. Keeping a low profile, the actor covered his face as he headed to his car, sparking speculation among fans about what he might be working on next.
