Prabhas reveals director Puri Jagannadh got VIP treatment in Bangkok thanks to 'Baahubali' fame

In the recently released docu-series, Prabhas can be seen sharing an incident of director Puri Jagannadh and the treatment the filmmaker received being Baahubali’ friend.

The story surprised everyone and showed how far the film's popularity had reached.
What happened at the Bangkok hospitalPrabhas said, “Baahubali 1 turned out to be a blockbuster. Six months into the shoot of part two at Ramoji Film City, Puri Jagannadh called me from Bangkok. He had a small infection and was waiting at a hospital when a nurse asked him if he was from India. When he said yes, she immediately asked, ‘Baahubali?’”
He further said, “Puri was shocked and asked if she had seen the film. She said everyone had watched it and even the doctor loved it. He showed her a photograph of us together and told her he was my friend. She immediately took the picture to the doctor and said, 'He's Baahubali's friend!' They skipped his waiting time and treated him immediately.”
Prabhas also revealed that Puri Jagannadh later sent him a voice message and explained everything that had happened. At that time, Prabhas was with director SS Rajamouli and producer Rama. They already knew that ‘Baahubali’ had become very popular in Japan. But after hearing about this incident in Bangkok, they were surprised to know that the film had reached even more people across the world.
