Nature broke out on Monday morning in Gram Panchayat Hanumangarhia Tola Sohni of Sonauli Kotwali area. At around 7.30 in the morning, a 12-year-old boy died tragically after being hit by lightning that fell in the field amidst thunder and heavy rain, while a woman and a young man got seriously burnt.
After the incident, with the help of local people, everyone was immediately taken to the Community Health Center Ratanpur where doctors declared the teenager dead. The other two injured are undergoing treatment. As soon as the news of Kishore’s death was received, the hospital premises echoed with the screams of the family members and within no time a huge crowd of people gathered. After receiving the information, Sonauli police reached the spot, took possession of the body, filled Panchnama and sent it for post-mortem.
According to the information, it was raining heavily with loud thunder in Siwan of Hanumangarhia village on Monday morning. Meanwhile, Ayush Chaurasia, 12 year old son of village resident Suresh Chaurasia, was uprooting the paddy nursery in the field. Then suddenly with thunder the lightning fell directly on him, due to which he got badly burnt.
The lightning strike was so strong that his uncle Mahesh Chaurasia (28), son of Toofani and neighbor Anita (36), wife of Govind Paswan, who were working in the nearby fields, also got seriously injured. Other villagers present in the field hurriedly took all three to Ratanpur CHC, where doctors declared Ayush dead after preliminary examination. Mahesh and Anita, who were seriously burnt, are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The lamp of the house was extinguished, there was silence in the village.
Deceased Ayush was the youngest of two brothers and studied in a local school. As soon as the news of his death reached home, a mountain of sorrow fell on the entire family. Mother Munni Devi, father Suresh Chaurasia and elder brother Aarush are in bad condition and crying. The parents are at a loss over the sudden death of their loved one. Due to this heart-wrenching incident, there is mourning in the entire village and even the stoves are not lit.
In this regard, Bhagwanpur outpost incharge Ajay Kumar said that as soon as information about the accident was received, the police team reached the spot and the hospital. A teenager has died after being hit by lightning. Taking legal action, the dead body was examined and sent to the district hospital for post-mortem. The condition of the injured is being monitored.
