New Delhi: Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro lineup is expected to introduce several premium upgrades, with recent leaks pointing to improvements in design, camera capabilities, performance and artificial intelligence. While the company has not officially confirmed any specifications, industry reports suggest the Pro models could arrive with notable hardware enhancements later this year.
Smaller Dynamic Island, Refined Design
According to leaks, Apple is working on reducing the size of the Dynamic Island by placing more Face ID components beneath the display. Some reports also suggest the company is exploring under-display Face ID technology while retaining a small punch-hole for the front camera.
The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to feature a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max could retain a 6.9-inch screen. New color options, including Light Blue, Dark Cherry and Dark Grey, are also being rumoured.
Camera and Performance Upgrades
The biggest changes are expected in the camera department. Reports indicate that Apple may introduce a variable-aperture primary camera, allowing improved control over light intake for better low-light photography, portraits and depth effects.
The telephoto camera is also tipped to receive a wider aperture, while the front camera could be upgraded to a 24-megapixel sensor for improved selfies and video calls.
Powering the devices is expected to be Apple’s next-generation A20 Pro chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The combination is likely to enhance multitasking and support advanced AI-powered features.
Battery, Connectivity and Launch
Leaks also suggest the Pro models could feature batteries of up to 5,000mAh, along with Apple’s next-generation C2 modem and upgraded satellite connectivity features.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max during its traditional September launch event. However, the company has not officially announced the launch date, pricing or specifications, and all current details remain based on leaks and industry reports.
