According to Maharashtra Police, the prime accused, Siya Goyal and her alleged boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary, travelled together to Udaipur just weeks before her engagement to Ketan. Investigators have also alleged that Siya took Rs.1 crore from Ketan before their engagement and handed the money over to Chetan.
The revelations come as police continue to piece together what they describe as a meticulously planned murder conspiracy.

Police investigations have revealed that just a few weeks before Siya's engagement to Ketan, she and Chetan travelled to Udaipur with a group. During the trip, the two allegedly spent several days together. Siya Wanted to Marry Chetan, Not Ketan
According to media reports citing the police investigation, Siya allegedly admitted that she never intended to marry Ketan. Instead, she wanted to spend her life with Chetan.
Investigators claim Chetan had assured Siya that after Ketan's death, he would approach her family and formally seek permission to marry her.
The Rs.1 Crore Transfer
As per media reports, Siya convinced Ketan to give her Rs.1 crore under the pretext of shopping and wedding-related expenses. Instead of using the money for those purposes, investigators claim she transferred the entire amount to Chetan.
Chetan allegedly planned to use the funds to establish his career and business. Police say he had told Siya that he would need around three years to become financially independent after receiving the money.
Police Reveal Alleged Murder Signal
Investigators believe the murder was carried out using a pre-planned signal.
According to the police, Siya had instructed Chetan that the moment she sat down, he should push Ketan off the cliff. As per the alleged plan, Siya sat on the ground, signalling Chetan, who then allegedly approached Ketan from behind and pushed him off the rocky edge at Lohagarh Fort, leading to his death.
Police say the sequence of events indicates that the attack was carefully coordinated.
