Delhi University (DU) has commenced the undergraduate (UG) admission process for the 2026-27 academic session. Admissions will be conducted through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS UG). Admissions will be offered across 73 UG courses and over 100 BA programs in the university's 67 colleges. Registration for the first phase has currently begun, and interested students can apply by visiting the official website. The university will announce the dates for the second phase later.

**What needs to be done in Phase 1?**
In the first phase, candidates must register on the CSAS portal. During this process, they will need to provide necessary personal and educational details. The university has clarified that the subject a student wishes to pursue for graduation must have been studied and passed in Class 12. However, the final merit list and admission decisions will be based solely on CUET UG 2026 scores.

**What is the application fee?**
Candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay a fee of ₹250 for CSAS registration. The application fee for SC, ST, and PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates is ₹100. Students applying for BFA, BSc (PE, HE & S), and BA (Honours) Music courses will have to pay an additional ₹400. Additionally, applying under the ECA and Sports supernumerary quotas will incur an extra fee of ₹100 per quota.

**Selecting colleges and courses in the second phase**
In the second phase of CSAS, candidates will need to submit their preferences for colleges and courses. They will also be required to map the subjects taken in the CUET exam with the subjects studied in Class 12. Based on this subject mapping, the university will determine the courses for which the student is eligible. Once eligibility is established, candidates will be able to arrange their preferred colleges and programs in order of priority.

Seat allocation process
Seat allocation will be based on the marks obtained in CUET UG 2026 and the college and course preferences submitted on the CSAS portal. Therefore, students are advised to fill in all details carefully and keep a close watch on the schedule for the second phase to be released by the university.
