New Delhi: The month of June is about to end soon, but the intensity of the sun still remains in North and Central India. Many states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Haryana are currently struggling with extreme heat and humidity. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued an important update which is full of both relief and warning. The south-west monsoon is now ready to advance rapidly again.

Monsoon will advance rapidly in the next 3-4 days

According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon activities will gradually increase in many parts of the country from today. Conditions have become favorable for the advance of monsoon in many areas of North Arabian Sea, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Within the next three to four days, monsoon will cover a large part of North and Central India. Due to which people suffering from heat are expected to get great relief.

There will be showers after the humidity in Delhi-NCR

Talking about Delhi, monsoon will not be fully active here on June 29, due to which heat wave like situation may persist in some areas even today. Humidity will increase further due to increase in maximum temperature by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours. However, the sky will be partly cloudy during the day and there may be strong winds at a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour with light drizzle in some areas. The real relief will come between June 30 and July 2, when the temperature will drop by 5 to 6 degrees and the monsoon rains will begin.

Lightning alert in Bihar-Jharkhand

Monsoon rains are going to intensify in Bihar and Jharkhand from today. Heavy rain with thunder and lightning is expected in many districts, but along with this the Meteorological Department has also issued an alert of lightning.

Mumbai people troubled by water and traffic

While North India is waiting for rain, heavy rains in the financial capital Mumbai have stopped the pace. After torrential rains overnight, a situation of waterlogging has arisen in areas like Andheri, Bandra, Khar, Malad and Juhu. Vehicles were seen crawling on the Western Express Highway, while due to heavy water logging in Andheri Subway, BMC had to completely close it for traffic.
