Congress on Friday made a major reshuffle in its organization by changing the in-charges of three states and appointing new in-charges. Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge appointed Rajendra Pal Gautam in charge of Uttar Pradesh, Sanjay Dutt in charge of Haryana and Lalji Desai in charge of Odisha. Along with this, former President of Indian Youth Congress (IYC) Srinivas B.V. Has been appointed the chief organizer of the Advance Organization Seva Dal of Congress.
According to the press note issued by Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has approved these appointments. Along with this, Uttar Pradesh in-charge Avinash Pandey has been dismissed. Rajendra Pal Gautam has been given the responsibility of Uttar Pradesh in-charge in place of Avinash Pandey. This appointment is considered most important because assembly elections are to be held in UP in the next few months.
BK Hariprasad was removed
BK Hariprasad, who was recently appointed President of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, has been relieved of the responsibility of Haryana in-charge. Sanjay Dutt has been made in-charge of Haryana in place of BK Hariprasad. Sanjay Dutt was till now playing the role of National Secretary of Congress.
Ajay Kumar Lallu’s leave
At the same time, Ajay Kumar Lallu has been relieved from the responsibility of Odisha in-charge, in his place Lalji Desai has been made in-charge of Odisha. Srinivas Biwi has been made the head of Seva Dal in place of Lalji Desai.
