MHA TET Paper Leak: Priya Shinde, Deputy Commissioner of the Maharashtra State Council of Examination, stated that candidates affected by the TET paper leak do not need to register again. No additional registration fee will be charged to any candidate. Speaking to the media after the postponement, Shinde emphasized that the candidates are not at fault and will not face any inconvenience due to this incident.

FIRs Registered Against Three Individuals
Shinde further stated that strict action would be taken against those responsible for the paper leak. FIRs have been registered against three individuals so far, and the police are investigating the matter. According to the Council, the question paper for the exam—conducted by the Pune-based body—was leaked in Thane and Bhiwandi. Consequently, the examination, originally scheduled for Sunday, was postponed just hours before it was due to begin because of the alleged leak.

Rescheduling the Exam May Take Three Weeks
It is worth noting that the examination was to be held at 1,728 centers across 37 locations in Maharashtra, with approximately 612,500 candidates expected to participate. Shinde said that the new exam date and revised schedule would be announced soon. She added that the investigation is ongoing, and further action will be taken based on its findings. Addressing the logistical challenges of rescheduling, Shinde noted that the process of organizing an exam on such a large scale takes about three weeks.
