Sports are instilling discipline and self-confidence among the youth: Dr. Rajeshwar Singh

The inter school and inter sports club cricket competitions being played under the Sarojini Nagar Sports League organized by Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh are continuously instilling sports spirit, discipline and self-confidence among the youth of the area. During the competition, the players demonstrated their talent by performing excellently.

In the second match of Inter School Cricket Competition, Krishna Public School defeated Red Rose Inter College by 7 wickets. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Red Rose Inter College team was all out for just 38 runs and Krishna Public School got the target of 39 runs. While chasing the target, Krishna Public School displayed excellent batting and won easily. In this match, Anshul performed brilliantly by taking 4 wickets and was chosen man of the match.

In the third match, an exciting match was played between Peasant Day Academy Inter College and Universal City Convent, Maunda. Universal City Convent won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Peasant Day Academy Inter College scored 105 runs and gave the target of 106 runs to the opposition team. On the back of excellent bowling, Peasant Day Academy registered an impressive win by defeating Universal City Convent by 62 runs. Krishna Pal performed all-round by taking 4 wickets and 16 runs and became the man of the match.

In the fourth match, K.D. The match could not be held due to absence of public school. As per the competition rules, Ambedkar Vidya Mandir Junior High School was given walkover and entered in the next stage. The enthusiasm of the players and clubs was also visible in the matches played under the Inter Sports Club Cricket Competition. Lucknow Lions Cricket Club was disqualified after involvement of ineligible players was found during the player verification process. As a result, Ranipur Cricket Club was granted entry into the second phase by being awarded the match.

In the same sequence, Lions 11 Cricket Club was also declared ineligible for not meeting the eligibility standards. As per the competition rules, West 11 Cricket Club was given a walkover and entered in the second phase. In the seventh match, the match was played between Lucknow Knight Riders Cricket Club and Deshi Dabang Cricket Club. After winning the toss, Lucknow Knight Riders decided to bowl first. Batting first, Deshi Dabang Cricket Club scored 63 runs and set a target of 64 runs.

Chasing the target, Lucknow Knight Riders Cricket Club batted brilliantly and registered a one-sided victory by 9 wickets. Aryan Yadav was adjudged man of the match for his excellent performance.

Sarojini Nagar Sports League today has become not just a sports competition for the youth, but a powerful platform to give a new direction to their dreams, struggle and talent. The enthusiasm surging in the sports grounds is proof that the youth of Sarojini Nagar are laying a strong foundation for their bright future with discipline, leadership ability and positive thinking through sports.
