Croatia secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Ghana at Philadelphia Stadium to finish second in Group L and qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32. Petar Sucic opened the scoring with a stunning long-range strike in the first half, becoming Croatia’s second-youngest World Cup goalscorer.
Ghana equalised through Derrick Luckassen in the second half after improving their attacking display. However, Nikola Vlasic netted the decisive goal to seal Croatia’s win. Croatia will face the Group K runners-up in Toronto on July 3 (IST), while Ghana also progressed as one of the tournament’s best third-placed teams.
