Vivo has quietly launched the Y6a smartphone in Chinafeaturing a groundbreaking 7,200mAh Blue Ocean battery — one of the largest in the mid-range category — and a 50MP main rear camerapositioning the device as a budget-friendly 5G smartphone focused on exceptional battery life, durability, and eye protection. The phone is priced at CNY 1,999 (approximately ₹28,000 or $280) for the single 8GB + 256GB configuration.

The 7,200mAh battery is a standout feature that significantly exceeds the typical 5,000-6,000mAh batteries found in most mid-range smartphones. Vivo claims the battery has a 6-year lifespanremaining functional even after 1,600 charge cyclesensuring the phone maintains speed and battery performance for extended use. The battery supports 44W fast charging and includes 24-level charging protection with global direct-drive power supply technology for enhanced safety and durability.

The device features a 6.75-inch LCD display with hardware-level eye protection, global DC dimming for flicker-free viewing, and straight panel design for better visibility. The screen offers 1,200 nits peak brightness and 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and gaming experiences. The phone has passed SGS Five-Star Anti-Drop and Durability Certificationfeaturing Four-Layer Protection System including Diamond Rock structure, Diamond Shield glass, anti-drop film, and anti-drop phone case.

The Vivo Y6a offers IP68/IP69K water and dust resistanceproviding full-level protection against water splashes, high-pressure cleaning, and extreme environmental conditions. The device includes a one-click water drainage feature for quick water removal. The phone also supports NFC, infrared remote control, one-touch door card access, convenient payment, and EV key functions for enhanced connectivity and convenience.

The phone is available in three color options: Galaxy Silver, Obsidian Blackand Phoenix Welcome Gold (also called Phoenix Gold), catering to different aesthetic preferences. Vivo has launched the Y6a exclusively in China through its official website, with no confirmed launch plans for India or other global markets yet.
