
Ayodhya, 26 June. All the eight accused in the case of theft of offerings in Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya were presented in the remand magistrate’s court on Friday under tight security arrangements. The court of Magistrate Nivedita Singh approved the remand of judicial custody of all the accused for three days, after which the police sent everyone to jail. Prosecution Officer KC Verma said that Rs 79 lakh 85 thousand 493 recovered so far at the instance of all the accused was also presented in the court.
Prosecution officer KC Verma said that the case was reported by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust member Krishna Mohan in Ram Janmabhoomi police station by Anukalp Mishra son of Ravindra Kumar Mishra (resident of Kaushalpuri Colony, next to Manas Dental police station, Kotwali Nagar), Karunesh Pandey, son of Ramdas Pandey (resident of Jairajpur police station, Khandasa), Manish Kumar Yadav, son of late Sudhir Kumar Yadav (resident of Swargadwar, New Ghat police station, Kotwali. Ayodhya) Lavkush Mishra son of Rajesh Kumar Mishra (resident Thakurain Astroni police station Kotwali) Rudauli Ramashankar Mishra (resident Prachin Sitaram Mandir Naya Ghat police station Ayodhya) Avinash Shukla son Ram Sajeevan Shukla (resident Kaushalpuri police station near Madhuban Dairy) Ramshakar Yadav alias Tinnu Late Sunderlal Srivastava (resident Bankers Line Anjanipuram Colony Devkali Road Police Station Kotwali Nagar) under sections 305 A, 306, 317 (2) 317(5) 316(5) 61(2) A 3(5) of the Indian Justice Code and Section 13(1) (A) 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The investigator of the case presented all the accused in the court under tight security arrangements.
Rs 79 lakh 85 thousand 493, recovered at the behest of all the accused in the temple, was also presented before the Remand Magistrate. The court, after due scrutiny of all the forms presented by the investigator and after hearing the arguments of the prosecution officer, ordered to send all the accused to judicial custody for three days because sections of the Corruption Act have also been imposed in the case, hence after the completion of the remand period, all the accused will be presented for remand in the court of the Special Judge Prevention of Corruption Act.
Tight security arrangements were made during the hearing. A large number of security personnel were deployed under the leadership of Area Officer Ayodhya and Area Officer Nagar. After receiving the remand order, all the accused were sent to the district jail.
