The makers of ' Lollipop Sports Academy ' have officially kicked off production with a grand pooja ceremony held at Prasad Lab in Chennai. Directed by K. R. Senthil Nathan , the sports action entertainer stars Yogi Babu , Redin Kingsley , and Rachitha Mahalakshmi in the lead roles. The launch event saw the presence of the cast and crew and a number of known faces from the Tamil film industry. The movie has generated curiosity among movie lovers with an interesting mix of action, sports, and comedy.

Rachitha Mahalakshmi to play an undercover agent in the filmSpeaking to IANS, director K. R. Senthil Nathan opened up about Rachitha Mahalakshmi's character in the film. "Rachitha Mahalakshmi plays an undercover agent in 'Lollipop Sports Academy'," he revealed, adding that it will be one of the most challenging roles of her career. He also shared that the film follows two parallel storylines, one set in Coorg and the other in Chennai, which merge at the interval. The team will soon begin a 15-day shooting schedule in Madikeri, followed by another schedule in Coorg before wrapping up the remaining portions in Chennai.

Redin Kingsley surprises with a serious characterThe director also revealed a surprising twist about Redin Kingsley's character. "Redin Kingsley will appear in a serious role. He will not be doing comedy in the film," Senthil Nathan said. He further disclosed that the movie will feature superhero-inspired characters resembling Spider-Man and Batman as villains, adding a unique fantasy element to the sports action entertainer. These unusual story elements have already increased curiosity around the film.

Strong supporting cast and technical team back the film'Lollipop Sports Academy' stars Yashika Anand , Y.G. Madhuvanthi, Amit Bhargav , and Melwyn, among other actors in prominent roles. On the technical side, cinematography is handled by Shibhab Pattambi, while Achu Rajamani composes the music. Editing is by S. P. Ahamed, art direction is by Rembon Balraj, and action choreography is by Jacky Prabhu. Although the film is currently being made in Tamil, the makers are expected to decide on dubbed versions in other languages after production is completed.
