Gaggal
As part of the ongoing Anti-Chitta Campaign, Superintendent of Police Kangra, Kulbhushan Verma, visited Gaggal Panchayat today to raise awareness about the increasing threat posed by synthetic drugs, particularly heroin.
During his address to the villagers, youth, and members of Mahila Mandals at the Panchayat Bhawan, SP Verma stressed that drug addiction not only harms individuals but also devastates families and communities. He encouraged the youth to steer clear of drugs and concentrate on their education and sports, while urging parents to monitor any behavioral changes in their children and maintain open lines of communication.
SP Verma pointed out that the Kangra Police are actively conducting awareness campaigns in every Panchayat while also implementing stringent measures against drug traffickers. He urged community members to report any suspicious activities or drug dealing in their areas by calling 112, assuring that the identities of those who report will be kept confidential.
Local Panchayat representatives attended the event and expressed their commitment to supporting the campaign.
