Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced a special tour package for tourists traveling during Onam holidays. The package is named “Onam Vacation Special Tour – Golden Triangle with Ahmedabad and Statue of Unity”, in which tourists will be taken to various major cultural and tourist destinations in India.
When will the tour start?
This journey will be operated by ‘Bharat Gaurav’ special tourist train. The tour will commence on August 22, 2026 and will last for 11 nights and 12 days. During this time, the passengers will visit famous destinations like Ahmedabad, Statue of Unity, Agra, Delhi and Jaipur. The package code for this tour is SZBG42. The train will depart from Trivandrum North, and passengers will be able to travel from stations like Kollam, Chengannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Shoranur Junction, Kozhikode, Kannur and Mangaluru Junction.
Which places will you visit?
During the visit, Akshardham Temple, Adalaj Stepwell, Sabarmati Ashram and Rani Ki Vav will be visited in Ahmedabad. Additionally, tourists will have the opportunity to see the world’s tallest statue, the Statue of Unity. The itinerary includes Red Fort, Rajghat, Lotus Temple, Qutub Minar and India Gate in Delhi. Taj Mahal in Agra and Amer Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal in Jaipur are also part of this tour.
What will it cost?

The fare for Standard class is ₹31,720 per person, for Comfort class is ₹37,570 and for Superior class is ₹52,870 per person. Special discounted rates for children are also available.
What does the package consist of?
This package includes train travel, hotel accommodation, local transportation, vegetarian meals, travel insurance, tour escort, security arrangements and all applicable taxes. However, this does not include monument entry fees, personal expenses, room service, adventure activities and services of local guides. Passengers who are interested in this tour will also be provided with LTC certificate after the completion of the tour, which can be availed by the eligible staff.
