New Delhi: In today’s busy life, not everyone has time to go to the parlor, so many women and men prefer to do pedicure at home. This not only saves money, but is also a good way to relieve tiredness of the feet. But while doing pedicure at home, people often make some mistakes, which can cause harm to the feet instead of benefiting them.
Don’t make these mistakes even by mistake
Small mistakes like cutting nails incorrectly or rubbing the heels excessively can make the skin of the feet dry and lifeless, not only this, it can also increase the risk of infection, hence it is very important to take special care of some things while doing pedicure at home.
Do not use very hot water: Avoid using too hot water to soak the feet, it reduces the natural moisture of the feet and can make the skin dry. Always use lukewarm water for pedicure.
Do not rub wet feet too hard: Do not rub the pumice stone or scrubber vigorously immediately after taking the feet out of the water, this can peel the skin and increase the risk of cracked heels. Always clean the dead skin with gentle hands.
Do not cut nails wrongly: Avoid cutting the toe nails too round or deep at the edges, they should always be cut straight. If the nails are cut incorrectly, they start growing inside the skin. This is called ingrown nail, which can cause a lot of pain and discomfort.
Don’t cut cuticles: The thin skin around the nails, called cuticles, provides protection from bacteria, so instead of cutting them with a cutter, push them back gently with the help of a cuticle pusher.
Don’t forget to apply moisturizer: After pedicure, scrubbing opens the pores of the skin, in such a situation, if you do not apply foot cream or moisturizer, then the feet can become more dry and hard, hence apply moisturizer after pedicure.
