Lakhs of pensioners got a gift, CM Mohan Yadav sent Rs 203.56 crore to their accounts, said – respect for elders is our religion

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed the program organized in the Ministry for distribution of social security pension on June 25 in virtual mode. In this, senior people, mothers, sisters and beneficiaries from different districts participated virtually. During the program, the Chief Minister transferred an amount of Rs 203 crore 56 lakh for the month of May to the accounts of more than 33 lakh 92 thousand 695 beneficiaries in a single click. Apart from this, the Chief Minister has taken many big steps in the interest of disabled people.

During the program, he said, “Having the blessings of the elders in the house is like a cool shade in the scorching sun. In our culture, giving respect to the elderly, the helpless and the weakest section of the society is not only considered a duty but our religion. The state government is committed to respect every citizen of the state.”

Poor and disabled citizens should not consider themselves helpless – CM Yadav

Dr. Mohan Yadav said, “It is our endeavor that no poor family, mothers, sisters or our disabled friends of the state should consider themselves destitute. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the resolve of Antyodaya is being proved in the country. In the same direction, the state government is also engaged in the welfare of the poor, deprived and weaker sections.

CM further said, “Social security pension is not just financial assistance, but it is the government’s promise of affection, respect and protection towards you in poor families and disabled friends. The state government considers everyone as part of its family.”

More than 25 crore people of the country came out of poverty in 10 years

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, “Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, every citizen of the country is feeling safe. In the last 10 years, more than 25 crore people of the country have come out of the poverty line. More than 80 crore people are getting free ration every month through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.” Apart from this, CM Yadav also gave examples of schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas, Ayushman Bharat, Jal-Jeevan Mission, Ujjwala Yojana. He said that Madhya Pradesh is ahead of many states in the country in the implementation of most of the welfare schemes. The government is working with full commitment for the welfare of the poor, youth, women and farmers.”

Instructions issued to officials for empowerment of disabled people

During the review of the Social Justice and Disability Empowerment Department on Thursday, the Chief Minister assessed the progress of the departmental work and also gave necessary directions to the officers. Which includes instructions to make all government buildings barrier-free for the disabled, to develop towards the disabled at the school level and to provide skill development and employment opportunities in the private sector as per their capacity. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to the officials to prepare an action plan for providing food and welfare activities to the destitute, beggars and other needy at all the major religious places of the state. To promote disaster awareness among disabled people, a book published in Braille on fire, heatwave and lightning was also released.
