Rajasthan PTET Result 2026: The wait is finally over for lakhs of aspirants dreaming of becoming teachers in Rajasthan. Vardhman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU), Kota, has released the PTET 2026 results. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their results on the official website. With the declaration of results, the admission process for 935 government and private B.Ed. Colleges in the state are also set to begin. Admissions will be conducted for over 1.07 lakh seats in the two-year B.Ed. course this year.
PTET 2026 Result Released
Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota, has declared the results for the Rajasthan Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET) 2026. Candidates who took the exam can download their scorecards by visiting the official website, ptetvmoukota2026.in. The PTET exam is the primary gateway for admission to B.Ed. courses in Rajasthan. Admission to the two-year B.Ed. A course in all recognized government and private teacher training institutes across the state is granted based on this exam.
Exam Held on June 14
The PTET 2026 exam was conducted on June 14. A total of 1,26,600 candidates had registered for the exam, out of which 1,07,575 candidates appeared. Following the release of the results, the counseling and college allotment process will commence. Colleges will be allotted to candidates based on merit.
Admissions in 935 B.Ed. Colleges
Currently, there are 935 B.Ed. colleges operating in Rajasthan. Admissions to the two-year B.Ed. Courses in these colleges will be facilitated through the PTET. A total of 1,07,040 seats are available in B.Ed. courses this year. The new academic session is expected to begin in July 2026. Experts believe that the competition relative to the number of available seats may be comparatively lower this time, potentially allowing more candidates the opportunity for admission.
**How to check the PTET 2026 result**
To view the result, candidates must first visit the official website. Next, they need to click on the PTET result link. Then, after selecting the option for the two-year B.Ed. Of course, they must enter their roll number and other required details. Upon logging in, the result will appear on the screen; candidates can download and save it for future reference.
**What is the process after the result?**
Following the release of the PTET result, online counseling will commence. During the counseling process, candidates will have the opportunity to select colleges of their choice. Subsequently, colleges will be allotted based on merit and seat availability. After college allotment, candidates must complete the document verification and fee payment processes. Once all formalities are concluded, candidates will be able to secure admission to their respective B.Ed. colleges.
**Benefits under the reservation system**
The Rajasthan government's reservation policy will apply to the B.Ed. admission process. Candidates from outside the state will be treated under the General category. For candidates from within the state, reservation benefits will be provided as follows: 16% for Scheduled Castes (SC), 12% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 21% for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 5% for More Backward Classes (MBC), and 10% for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Additionally, reservations for women will be provided in accordance with state government rules. Provisions have also been made for 5% horizontal reservation for differently-abled candidates and 5% horizontal reservation for dependents of defense service and ex-defense service personnel.
