Following the split within Shiv Sena (UBT), sources indicate that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has summoned party leaders for a meeting at 5 PM on Wednesday. MPs Arvind Sawant and Anil Desai from Shiv Sena (UBT) are set to meet with the Speaker to present their stance regarding the recent developments involving the rebel MPs. The faction led by Thackeray has been asked to clarify its position on this matter before the Speaker. It is anticipated that Sawant and Desai will request the Speaker not to recognize the group of rebel MPs. This situation has arisen after six Shiv Sena (UBT) Lok Sabha MPs formally joined the faction led by Eknath Shinde on Monday, marking a successful Operation Tiger.

Earlier in the day, UBT MP Sanjay Raut called for a fight against the traitors of Maharashtra following the defection of six MPs to Shinde's faction. Sharing a photo of himself holding a gun, Raut posted on social media, "Never tired, never lost courage. We must fight against the traitors of Maharashtra; our spirits are high, and the journey continues! Jai Maharashtra, Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji!" While the MPs who defected to the ruling camp cited a lack of funds as their reason, Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske has blamed Sanjay Raut for the party's decline. Mhaske stated that this is a result of Eknath Shinde's hard work and the trust he has garnered from the people. The party is moving forward under his guidance, and this trust is attracting people to us... Six MPs have already joined, and more will follow. I say this with full confidence because the UBT faction is collapsing. Sanjay Raut is attempting to seize control of the party. Party workers, officials, and representatives are frustrated with such behavior. Their mental state has deteriorated. Given the party's decline and the fact that elected representatives work hard to reach their positions, if they receive no support from the party, it is evident they will seek alternative paths.
