Congress’s big attack on central government on NEET paper leak, demand for resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan

District Congress Committee Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi organized a press conference on Tuesday and made a scathing attack on the Central Government regarding the NEET exam paper leak issue. Congress leaders alleged that continuous examination irregularities have raised serious questions on the credibility of the country’s education system. He demanded the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and raised the demand for a CBI investigation into the entire matter under the supervision of the Supreme Court.

Congress leaders said that the central government has proved to be a complete failure in this matter to the future of lakhs of students and now it is necessary to fix accountability.

Allegation of playing with the future of 22 lakh students

Former MLA addressing the press conference Dr. K.K. Dhruv Said that the Central Government had to take the decision to re-conduct the NEET exam only after the Congress Party registered continuous agitation and protest across the country.

He alleged that the NEET paper leak had put more than 22 lakh students and their families across the country in a state of mental stress and confusion. He said that students’ trust in the examination system has weakened and the central government is directly responsible for this.

He said that raising questions on the fairness of any competitive examination is a matter of serious concern for the education system of the country.

Student suicides said to be failure of the system

congress spokesperson Virendra Singh Baghel Said that the stress and uncertainty caused by the paper leak has affected many students mentally. He claimed that many students in different states of the country even committed suicide due to this stress.

He said that during the last 12 years, there have been incidents of question papers being leaked in many national level competitive examinations, but due to lack of effective action against the culprits, such cases could not be stopped.

Baghel alleged that the government has completely failed to make the examination system secure and transparent.

Accused of cutting education budget

Block Congress President daya wakare Accused the central government of neglecting the education sector. He said that the education budget is being continuously cut, the direct impact of which is visible on the education system and examination system of the country.

He said that if education does not get adequate resources then it will be difficult to expect a transparent and strong examination system.

Demand for CBI investigation under the supervision of Supreme Court

District General Secretary Rakesh Masih Demanded that the entire NEET paper leak case should be investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) under the supervision of the Supreme Court.

He said that in this case, action against only lower level employees would not be sufficient, but the entire network should be exposed. If officials, institutions or other influential people are involved at any level then strict legal action should be taken against them also.

Demand raised to dissolve NTA

District Vice President Narayan Sharma Raised serious questions on the functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and said that the institution has proved to be a complete failure in conducting the examinations.

He demanded that NTA be dissolved and replaced by a new, transparent, accountable and technically strong institution, which can ensure effective control over such incidents in future.

Need for comprehensive reform in examination system

District Vice President Kamal Khan Said that to secure the future of the youth of the country, mere examination is not enough, but there is a need for comprehensive reform in the entire examination system.

He said that the government should develop such a system in which the security of question papers, examination conduct and evaluation process is completely transparent and technically secure.

Demand for strict action against the culprits

At the end of the press conference, Congress leaders jointly said that the future of crores of students of the country should not fall prey to any political or administrative negligence.

He demanded from the Central Government that strict action should be taken against all the culprits involved in the paper leak, the Education Minister should resign taking moral responsibility and immediate reforms should be implemented in the examination system so that such incidents are not repeated in future.
