In the alert issued by IMD on Wednesday morning, along with warning of light to heavy rain for some time in Mumbai, Thane, Raigarh, Palghar and Sindhudurg, people have been advised to take necessary precautions. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has also issued a warning as intermittent heavy rains were lashing the city and surrounding areas. Even today the sky is cloudy and there is a possibility of rain with lightning and thunder.
