LPG News: Scammers have become increasingly active following changes to LPG connection rules. With demands for money being made for new connections and services, Indian Oil has issued an alert.

LPG News: Recent LPG shortages caused a stir across the country, leading to changes in regulations for LPG and PNG connections. While this move by the government and oil companies brought relief to the general public, it also emboldened scammers. Since the government has urged people to surrender their LPG connections if they have a PNG connection at home, fraudsters are now targeting the public over this issue. Consequently, Indian Oil Corporation has issued a warning to the public.

Indian Oil Corporation's Post

Many people have been receiving messages regarding LPG connections and services, in which scammers solicit payments while posing as the company. Following complaints about this, Indian Oil Corporation shared a post on its official X (Twitter) account, urging people to remain vigilant.

In the post, the company stated, "Your trust is paramount to us; do not let it fall into the hands of fraudsters. We have received reports of unscrupulous individuals demanding money from customers for new LPG connections and related services. Please beware of such individuals. Verify any information only through official channels and make payments solely via authorized platforms. Stay alert, stay informed, and stay safe."

Given the rising number of complaints regarding such fraud, the company has urged the public to exercise caution and vigilance. If you receive any such email or message, do not make a payment without verifying its authenticity. Furthermore, if you fall victim to fraud, ensure you file a complaint immediately.
