Former Australia captain David Warner has once again, grabbed attention on social media too. This time , his response to a post put out by Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal, has left fans talking, like a lot.
The whole thing kicked off after Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants finished a big player trade involving Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav, ahead of IPL 2027.
Parth Jindal Congratulates Kuldeep Yadav
On June 23, Parth Jindal uploaded a post on social media, congratulating Kuldeep Yadav after the spinner made his move to Lucknow Super Giants.
Jindal thanked Kuldeep for what he did for Delhi Capitals and wished him good luck for the future. He also welcomed Rishabh Pant back to the franchise after the wicketkeeper batter got traded away from Lucknow Super Giants.
Naturally, the trade turned into one of those headline topics among IPL fans , almost instantly.
Warner's Comment Catches Attention
Soon after Jindal’s post, David Warner replied and that response kinda caught the cricket crowd right away.
Warner basically said that moves like this are part of the game, and that players who don’t hit form, usually end up losing their spot in a team.
Even though the Australian veteran didn’t name anyone directly, plenty of fans started decoding what he really meant. Some thought it was a light-hearted nudge toward the trade, while others felt he might have been pointing to his own franchise cricket moments, back then.
The comment, it spread fast across social media, and got a bunch of reactions.

Fans Discuss Warner's Delhi Capitals Exit
Warner’s message also brought back old memories for some fans, especially about his departure from Delhi Capitals.
The left-handed opener was released by the franchise before the IPL 2025 auction. After that, he went unsold in the auction, and he chose not to enter the IPL 2026 auction either.
Because of this newer comment, some followers started wondering if Warner’s relationship with the Capitals people ended on an awkward note. But still, neither Warner nor the franchise has come out publicly to say anything about issues between them.
Warner's Difficult End At SRH
And yeah, this isn’t the first time Warner’s time with an IPL team, turned into talk online. Back in 2021, Sunrisers Hyderabad removed him as captain, and later released him ahead of the IPL 2022 season.
It did surprise a lot of fans, since Warner had been one of SRH’s most successful guys. He guided Sunrisers to the IPL title in 2016, and won the Orange Cap three separate times during his run with the side.
Still, one rough season was enough to push him out of the franchise. Since then, Warner has sometimes posted things fans read as disappointment, about how his stretch with SRH ended.
Pant And Kuldeep Begin New Chapters
The swap between Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav is being seen as a fresh start, for both.
Each of them had a tough IPL 2026 with their own teams. Lucknow Super Giants finished at the bottom of the points table under Pant’s captaincy, while Kuldeep also had a season that didn’t go the way people hoped.
With IPL 2027 coming closer, both will be hoping they can deliver big performances with their new setup.
Meanwhile, Warner’s latest social media comment has kept the spotlight right on this trade, and fans are still arguing over what the former Australian opener was actually trying to say.
