Will Angel Reese attend FIFA World Cup game? The Atlanta Dream star says she plans to be part of the tournament atmosphere in Atlanta after missing an opportunity to attend a match earlier this week, adding another chapter to a summer that has already featured major milestones on and off the court.

Speaking on SportsCenter on Monday, Reese confirmed she intends to attend one of the World Cup matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The update comes as the WNBA standout continues a strong first season with the Atlanta Dream, who entered Monday night's game against the Toronto Tempo riding a back-to-back winning streak.

Will Angel Reese attend the FIFA World Cup game?

Angel Reese revealed that some of her Atlanta teammates were able to attend Sunday's World Cup match in the city, but her schedule prevented her from joining them.

"My teammates were able to go (Sunday). I didn't make it (Sunday), but I will plan to make one of the games," Reese said on SportsCenter.

Her teammates watched Spain cruise to a 4-0 victory over Saudi Arabia at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. While Reese hopes to attend a future match, she specifically mentioned her desire to support the United States men's national team if the opportunity arises.

"If the U.S. comes here, I definitely want to see them play and go out there and support," she said. "But it's really cool to see a different environment, different people coming here just to enjoy sports. It's because I really love sports."

Although the current tournament bracket means the USMNT is not scheduled to play in Atlanta, Reese's comments highlighted the growing crossover between major international soccer events and American professional athletes. Atlanta has become one of the busiest host cities during the tournament, drawing large crowds and global attention.

The 24-year-old also discussed a recent milestone that further strengthened her case as one of the league's premier rebounders. Reese became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 1,000 career rebounds, accomplishing the feat in just 79 games.

"I think people don't realize, rebounding is harder than you think. Defensive rebounds (are) a little bit more easier, but going in and crashing every single time to get second-chance opportunities on the offensive end," Reese said.

"You can look statistically, but not just from my shots but from my teammates, and it gives us more points. It gives us more opportunities. Just being able to come out and do what I do every single night just shows my consistency."

Before Monday's matchup against the Toronto Tempo, Reese once again drew attention with her pregame fashion choice.

The two-time WNBA All-Star arrived at State Farm Arena wearing a floor-length bronze kaftan-style gown featuring a plunging V-neckline and textured pleated design. She paired the look with a black choker necklace, metallic strappy heels and cornrow braids.

Reese's tunnel appearances have become a regular talking point throughout the season, reflecting her growing influence beyond basketball as one of the league's most recognizable personalities.

While Reese continues to make headlines away from the court, her production remains the biggest reason Atlanta sits atop the Eastern Conference standings.

The Dream forward is averaging a career-high 15.3 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Her impact on both ends of the floor has helped Atlanta compile an 11-4 record and emerge as one of the WNBA's early championship contenders.
