For any mother it’s a proud moment when her daughter guides her in her career. And that is exactly what is happening for Dr Deepti Bhatnagar. Deepti who is a naturopathic, acupuncturist and an actress gets a lot of inspiration and guidance from her daughter - the popular Aurra Bhatnagar . She says,”I started in 2003. I was selected from my school to play a lead roal in a film and closely followed by few music albums. Took a long break and restarted from 2019. I have faced camera for the first time in the short film named - Beti which was made for film festival. It was on a social cause on female feticide.”
Sharing more on her experience of being an actor she says,”It was an amazing experience, it was my childhood dream and I loved living that dream in front of camera. I would like to mention here as everyone knows my daughter Aurra is an actor too she is king of my source of inspiration. When I took a long break in acting such I was unsure and little nervous about my looks and on screen appearence, also wasn't sure how would I manage my time. But Aurra told me to just be myself and enjoy the new beginning, she also explained few certain things about light placement and camera positions and how to use them in front of the camera. I am witnessing such an amazing change of her personality in this short span of 10 years. I started training Aurra in acting and auditions when she was 7 years old, we worked hard and it took us around 84 auditions to find the role of Bondita in Barrister Babu. Now the roles have reversed and Aurra is guiding me for my auditions. Such a proud moment for a mother. “
Deepti has been part of shows like Nazar , Choti Sarrdaarni, Shubharambh, Parineeti and is now expecting meaningful and strong character roles, which allows her to explore and live the various aspects of life on screen. She shares she hasn’t kept any barrier regarding the platforms with which she would like to act but her preferences would be in the order of films, OTT and the TV.
Deepti who is a doting mother shares her thoughts on Aurra as an actor. ” She has been an amazing soul all through. We started seeing the talent pretty early in her school, as she started getting challenging roles so early in her life. She was only in first class when she was offered a role of cindrella( because of her expressive act and eye for detail) in a play. So we knew quite early that she is destined to be on big screen, and we followed the path to support her. I also consider my husband as my Guru - Alchemist Vivek Badoni, He has always been there supporting, motivating and igniting the fire in me, he sees the things which otherwise are missed by all. He himself is such an exceptional talent, who is a Yog guru with a rare combination of deep philosophical insight and science background. An intuitive astrologer and a natural life and relationships coach. He has healed and changed so many lives, although he is shy in nature but has an amazing following overseas. Many yoga teachers and healers have quoted that just being with him and watching him is a deep experience of Yoga in day to day life.”
