Correct use of AC in summer

Use of AC in summer is common in every house. This is an effective way to get relief from the heat, but many times when the AC is switched off, the room gets hot instantly. Many people face this problem, due to which they have to switch on the AC again.

Due to this the electricity bill also increases. Many people think that there is some fault in the AC, but actually it happens due to some of our mistakes. In this article we will discuss about the mistakes that need to be corrected.

Space problem in doors and windows

Indian homes often have small cracks on the edges of doors and windows. When the AC is turned on, cold air goes out through these cracks and hot air comes in. If this is the case in your room, these spaces should be filled using rubber seals, foam strips or door seals.

importance of curtains

If direct sunlight comes into your room, it can increase the temperature of the room. Especially in the afternoon, the sunlight coming from the windows heats the room when the AC is switched off. Therefore, use thick curtains, blackout curtains or heat reflecting curtains so that the coolness remains even after the AC is switched off.

AC filter cleaning

Dirty filter can affect the cooling capacity of the AC. When dust accumulates in the filter, the air flow reduces, causing the room to not cool properly. It is necessary to clean the filter every 15 to 30 days in summer.

Tips to keep the room cool

– Run the AC at 24 to 26 degrees Celsius.

– Run the ceiling fan on slow speed so that the coolness spreads throughout the room.

– Keep windows closed during the day.

– Do not keep too much stuff in the room.

– Keep getting the AC serviced regularly.
