In a thrilling ICC Women's T20 World Cup match held in Manchester, South Africa Women's cricket team showcased a remarkable bowling performance, limiting India to a total of 158 runs for 7 wickets on Sunday.

After a promising start from India, South Africa made a strong comeback. Marizanne Kapp initiated the breakthrough by dismissing Smriti Mandhana for 17 runs, followed by Shabnim Ismail, who took the wicket of Shafali Verma, who scored 31 runs.

With both openers back in the pavilion, India concluded the powerplay at 59 runs for 2 wickets.

Ayabonga Khaka then joined the attack, trapping Yastika Bhatia leg before wicket.

Despite losing their top three batswomen, India maintained a decent scoring rate, reaching 82 runs for 3 wickets after 10 overs.

Veteran bowlers Nadine De Klerk and Shabnim Ismail delivered crucial blows, restricting India to 116 runs for 5 wickets by the 15th over.

Jeminah Rodrigues fell victim to a caught and bowled by De Klerk, while Ismail's final over saw the dismissal of captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who managed just three runs in her landmark 200th T20 match.
