Camera and processor: what is special in it?
The biggest USP of this phone is its pro-grade camera setup. It has three 50 megapixel cameras at the back.
- Primary camera: 50MP Sony LYTIA-710 sensor, which comes with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support.
- Periscope Lens: 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and 50x Super Zoom Pro feature. This is the biggest upgrade compared to the previous models of this series.

- Selfie Camera: On the front, a 50MP front shooter with autofocus is also provided.
Talking about performance, Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ has MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor built on 4 nanometer fabrication. To keep the phone cool during gaming and heavy tasking, a large 4600mm² vapor chamber heat sink cooling system has been installed in it. The phone works on Android 16 operating system out-of-the-box, with which the company has promised 3 years of OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates.
A look at the display, battery and durability
The phone has a 6.8-inch Super HD+ (1.5K) Extreme AMOLED quad-curved display, which supports 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 5200 nits. To protect the screen, there is a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on it.
For power backup, this thin smartphone has a large 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. This technology provides more power backup in less space. To charge it, a 90W TurboPower wired charger is available in the box, while the phone also supports 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging. It has a double rating of IP68 and IP69 for protection against dust and water, and it also comes with a military-grade MIL-STD 810H certified body.
Impact on the market and what’s next for customers?
In the premium mid-range segment above Rs 45,000, this phone is going to compete directly with brands like Realme 16 Pro+ and iQOO already present in the market.
