Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again taken a very sensitive decision keeping the interest of the students paramount. In view of the possibility of traffic on the roads of Delhi being affected due to the NEET exam on Sunday, PM Modi himself decided to wait for about 45 minutes at the Delhi airport. He did this so that the future of the country i.e. the students going to take the examination do not have to face any kind of problem.
Big decision taken for the convenience of students
Actually, NEET (NEET UG) examination was to be conducted across the country from 2 pm on Sunday. Usually, when the Prime Minister’s convoy comes out on the road, the traffic on that route is stopped for some time due to security reasons and protocol. Since 1:15 to 2:00 pm was the most precious time for students to reach the examination centre, the PM’s convoy could have disrupted traffic and caused students to get late. To save the students from this possible problem, PM Modi decided that he would stay at the airport till 2 pm.
According to Aaj Tak’s report, the Prime Minister’s convoy could leave the airport only at its scheduled time i.e. 1:15 pm. But keeping in mind that there should be no hindrance in the movement of candidates going to appear for the examination, he himself decided to stay back. During this period, all the arrangements to security and traffic were also taken into full consideration.
PM Modi had returned from Kolkata programs
Let us tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned to New Delhi on Sunday after attending a yoga program organized in Kolkata, West Bengal and a special program of the Indian Navy. After landing at the airport, as soon as he got information about the timing of NEET exam and the movement of students, he immediately made up his mind to stay at the airport itself.
Administration fully alert regarding Re-NEET UG exam
This time the administration seemed completely alert and ready regarding the Re-NEET UG 2026 examination across the country. Very strict security arrangements were made to prevent any kind of rigging or irregularities during the examination. In this very important examination conducted for more than 22 lakh candidates, electronic devices were completely banned and multi-level security arrangements were implemented at the examination centres.
Talking about Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, here the candidates were given admission in the examination centers only after undergoing intensive checking and strict scrutiny. During this period, all the security agencies were seen fully active. Giving a statement on this, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that the NEET exam is being conducted in a completely peaceful and successful manner. He made it clear that the government has a clear commitment that the interests of the youth and students of the country will not be allowed to be harmed under any circumstances.
Similar tight security was seen in other parts of the country also. The security arrangements for the re-examination of NEET in Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, were quite tight. More than 50,000 candidates appeared in the examination at 127 centers here in Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, elaborate security arrangements were made for the examination in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Strict surveillance was being maintained at nine centers of Shimla and the most important thing was that the question papers were safely transported to the examination centers amidst tight security of police and ITBP.
