Which flowers are the best?

To make perfume at home, choose flowers whose fragrance is strong and long lasting. Rose, Mogra, Jasmine, Bela and Rajnigandha are considered best options for this. Try to use fresh and chemical-free flowers. Flowers plucked in the morning have more aroma, so they can give better results.

These two ingredients will be needed

To make this easy perfume you only need two main ingredients – fresh flowers and a carrier oil. Coconut oil, jojoba oil or almond oil can be used as carrier oil. This oil absorbs the fragrance of the flowers and helps in preserving it for a long time.

Easy process of making perfume

First of all, clean the flower petals thoroughly. Now fill the petals in a glass jar and pour carrier oil over them. Make sure all the petals are completely immersed in the oil. Close the jar and keep it in a cool and dark place for 24 to 48 hours. During this time the fragrance of the flowers will start dissolving in the oil.

Trick to make the fragrance deeper

After two days, filter the oil and remove the old petals. Now put new petals of fresh flowers in the same oil and keep it again for 24 to 48 hours. By repeating this process 2 to 3 times, the fragrance becomes more thick and attractive. This method makes natural perfumes more effective.

Store and use like this

When the fragrance is as per your liking, filter the oil and store it in a small glass bottle. Keep it away from direct sunlight. You can apply it lightly on the wrist, behind the ears or on the neck. This perfume made from natural flowers is not only fragrant, but it also does not contain any amount of artificial chemicals.

Keep these things in mind

If you have sensitive skin, be sure to do a patch test before using any new oil or flower-based perfume. Also, how long the fragrance of a perfume will last depends on the quality of the flowers and oils used. Properly formulated home perfume can retain its fragrance for several weeks.
