It will take you hardly 30 minutes to make Mango Sandesh Sandwich. However it has to be kept in the fridge to set, this may take a few hours. You can prepare it in the evening and serve it in the morning or if you make it in the morning then enjoy it after lunch. On any special occasion, you can also prepare these mango twist sandesh and feed it to the guests.

Ingredients for Sandesh

Homemade Paneer (Chhena) -200 gms Powdered sugar – 4 tbsp Cardamom powder – ½ tsp Alphonso Mango – 2, cut into thin slices

How to make Mango Sandesh Sandwich

  • First of all make fresh chhena at home. For this, curdle 1 kg full cream milk, filter it and squeeze it so that all the water is removed.
  • Take out the prepared chhena in a big plate and mash it well with the bottom of your palm until it becomes soft and uniformly smooth.
  • Now add powdered sugar and cardamom powder to the mashed chhena. Mix it again slowly and knead until everything comes together and becomes a soft dough.
  • Now divide this mixture into 2 equal parts. Place one portion on cling wrap and flatten it into a rectangle.
  • Spread thin pieces of mango evenly over it and cover it with another flat layer of Sandesh and press the edges gently to seal it so that a sandwich is formed.
  • Wrap it in cling wrap and keep it in the refrigerator for 8-10 hours or overnight to set.

  • Remove the sandesh sandwich from the fridge, remove the wrap and cut it into small square pieces with a sharp knife.
  • Garnish this Sandesh Mango Sandwich with pistachio shavings and serve it cold.
