Raipur: In the state level program organized in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh on the occasion of International Yoga Day 2026, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has described yoga as the key to a healthy and balanced life. Let us tell you, a large number of people participated in this program organized at PG College Ground in Surguja district and did collective yoga practice.
What did the Chief Minister say
The Chief Minister said that yoga should not be seen only as a physical exercise. It is a lifestyle that establishes balance between body, mind and soul. He said that in today’s fast-paced life, increasing stress and health problems, yoga has become more important than ever.
Appealing to the people, he said that do not limit yoga to just one day programme, but make it your daily habit. By doing yoga regularly, a person not only remains physically fit but also becomes mentally strong.
Important decision taken regarding education
During this, the Chief Minister also mentioned the decision of the State Government, under which approval has been given to bring subjects to Yoga from the Social Welfare Department under the Medical Education Department. He says that this will further strengthen yoga education, training, research and public awareness programs.
Vishnu Dev Sai has described Yoga as an invaluable heritage of India’s ancient culture and sage tradition. He said that Yoga has shown the whole world the way to live a healthy and balanced life. Along with this, he praised the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that under his leadership, Yoga has got global recognition and today many countries of the world are adopting it.

The Chief Minister especially appealed to the youth and students to include yoga in their daily routine. He said that yoga develops concentration, confidence, discipline and positive thinking, which is very important to achieve success in life. A large number of students, women, public representatives and officials were present in the program.
