Mayank Trigun, Moradabad. Medical entrance examination NEET was conducted across the country on Sunday. Lakhs of students reached the examination centers with the dream of becoming doctors, but a news has come from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh which has surprised everyone. Here, the years of many promising students were wasted just because technology betrayed them at the last moment. It is alleged that NEET exam missed due to Google Map mistake Due to this many students could not reach their centers on time. After the exam was missed, there was shouting and an atmosphere of despair outside the centre. Angry parents have expressed their anger over this negligence.
Actually, this entire matter is to the RN Inter College examination center of Moradabad. It is being told that when the students left their homes in the morning to take the examination, they took the help of Google Map for the route. But the location of this college was wrongly fed on Google Map. The result was that instead of taking students to the correct centre, the app took them to some other place. By the time students realized the technical glitch and headed to the actual exam centre, it was too late.
Just 5 minutes delay and career put on break
An aggrieved student standing outside the examination center cried and said that he had left on time with full preparation from his side. He lost his way due to Google Map and when he reached the right center, there was a delay of only 5 minutes. The security personnel and center administrators did not allow him to enter inside citing the rules. The student and his family are in a bad condition, crying. He says that the study done day and night throughout the year was ruined just because of a technical error.
Parents got angry and appealed to the authorities
This is not the story of just one student, but there were many candidates who reached this center in Moradabad and became victims of this technical mistake. According to the local people present outside the centre, even after the commencement of the examination, many parents were wandering there with their children. These students and their parents, who were deprived of the examination, have now demanded the concerned authorities to take cognizance of the matter. He says that NTA and the local administration should issue the exact location and clear guidelines of such big examination centers in advance, so that no one’s career is at stake like this.
Blind trust in technology proved costly?
This incident has raised a big question whether we should completely depend on navigation apps during important examination days? At present, the affected students and their parents are preparing to reach higher authorities with their complaints. Missing one of the most prestigious examinations of the country like NEET in this way is indeed a big blow to the future of these youth, which seems impossible to compensate at the moment.
