A significant update has emerged for the millions of candidates preparing for the NEET re-examination scheduled for 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a clear warning that entry to the examination center will not be permitted with old admit cards. Therefore, all candidates are advised to download the new hall ticket.
According to the examination authority, only the new admit card will be valid for the re-NEET exam taking place on June 21, 2026. The NTA has urged candidates to download their hall tickets promptly to avoid any issues and to bring a printed copy to the examination center.
Strict Warning Regarding Old Admit Cards
In an official communication, the NTA stated that the admit card issued on May 3 is no longer valid for this examination. Candidates have been instructed to use only the admit card issued for the June 21 exam. The identification and entry process at the examination centers will be based solely on this document.
Download Your New Hall Ticket
The agency has also indicated that multiple channels have been utilized to inform candidates. Public notices, SMS, emails, and WhatsApp messages have been sent to ensure that no candidate arrives at the examination center without the necessary documents.
Steps to Download the New Admit Card
Candidates can download their new admit card by visiting the official website. They will need their application number and password to log in. Once logged in, the hall ticket will appear on the screen, which can then be downloaded and saved.
The NTA advises candidates to verify all the information on the downloaded admit card. It is essential to carefully read the details regarding the examination center, reporting time, and other instructions to avoid any complications on the exam day.
Contact for Assistance
If any candidate encounters difficulties while downloading the admit card, they can reach out to the NTA helpline at 011-40759000. Assistance can also be obtained via email. The agency has assured that timely support will be provided to all candidates.
The re-NEET examination will take place today from 2 PM to 5:15 PM. According to the NTA, the exam is being conducted in 551 cities across India and in 14 cities abroad, with over 22.79 lakh candidates participating.
