Balan The Boy Box Office Collection Day 2: Following the popular survival thriller Manjummel Boys, filmmaker Chidambaram's Malayalam film Balan, which is as much about survival as it is about the lies individuals tell themselves to stay alive, is a moving drama wrapped in a suspenseful thriller.
Starring Farazana Palathingal, Adisheshan Jean Paul Lal and Tovino Thomas, Balan has generated considerable interest among moviegoers.
Balan The Boy maintained its success at the box office on second day at the box office. The Malayalam movie witnessed a 29.1% rise after opening in theatres on Friday.
About Balan: The Boy
Balan: The Boy follows a young boy and his mother, who are released from Kannur jail after serving time for an unknown crime. Fearing a former inmate, Shamnatha, who promises to find them after her release, the mother constantly moves from village to village with her son, living under false identities. To keep them safe, she creates new names and backstories, which the boy carefully remembers.
Their lives begin to stabilise when she becomes a caregiver to an elderly woman, Ammoomma, and the boy starts attending school. As they grow attached to Ammoomma and begin to hope for a normal life, unexpected events threaten to destroy the peace they have finally found.
