In recent weeks, Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise has been linked with a potential transfer to Real Madrid, with several reports suggesting that the Spanish club had already initiated discussions regarding a possible move.
However, Real Madrid have now issued an official statement firmly denying any form of contact with the French international or his representatives.
“In response to information published by various media outlets about an alleged interest from our club in Bayern Munich player Michael Olise, Real Madrid C.F. wishes to clarify that it has not held any direct or indirect contact with the mentioned footballer, his representatives, or anyone from his entourage,” the club stated.
Real Madrid further added that it values the strong institutional relationship it shares with Bayern Munich, one built on mutual respect, cooperation, and admiration. The club expressed regret over the spread of rumours that do not align with reality.
“Both clubs have always upheld a relationship based on trust and mutual respect. This relationship is reflected in the shared understanding that any possible interest in a player belonging to the other club should first be addressed directly between the institutions themselves, in line with the principles of institutional loyalty that have historically guided the relations between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid,” the statement continued.
Michael Olise remains under contract with Bayern Munich until 2029, although reports indicate that the Bundesliga champions are eager to extend his agreement further, potentially until 2031.
