Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a high alert for thunderstorms, strong winds and torrential rains in 23 states of the country for Sunday, June 21. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather pattern is going to change very rapidly in many states within the next 13 hours.
The Meteorological Department (IMD) has clarified that heavy rains with thunderstorms may be seen in different areas of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. According to meteorologists, strong winds can blow at a storm speed of 70 to 90 kilometers per hour in some sensitive areas of the country. Along with this, there is also a possibility of heavy rain along with lightning and thunder at many places. In view of the bad weather, the department has strictly advised people not to come out of their homes without any reason and to remain alert.
If we talk about the country’s capital Delhi and NCR, then there is every possibility of dark cloudy sky, strong winds and light to moderate rain here on Sunday. This will bring a huge drop in the temperature and the people of Delhi will get great relief from the humid heat.
The strong impact of this storm and rain is going to be seen in many districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Heavy rain alert has been issued in UP’s Meerut, Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida), Agra, Mathura, Muzaffarnagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Bijnor, Firozabad, Etah, Jyotibaphule Nagar, Mahamaya Nagar, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj and Varanasi. On the other hand, in Bihar’s Gaya, Nawada, Buxar, Patna, Siwan, Vaishali, Bhojpur, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, Bhagalpur, Araria, Khagaria, Munger and Begusarai, people have also been warned about heavy rains and storms.
Weather conditions will be like this in hilly and South Indian areas
The weather condition is expected to remain bad in the plains as well as the hilly states. Warning of rain as well as stormy winds has been issued in Pithoragarh, Chamoli, Nainital, Haridwar, Bageshwar, Rudraprayag, Rishikesh and Pauri Garhwal of Uttarakhand. At the same time, alert of heavy rain and storm is issued in Kullu, Kangra, Bilaspur, Una, Solan, Kinnaur, Shimla and Hamirpur of Himachal Pradesh.
Apart from this, heavy rain and storm can cause havoc tomorrow in Jammu, Poonch, Muzaffarabad, Kupwara, Kulgam, Udhampur, Ganderbal, Kathua, Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri and Anantnag of Jammu and Kashmir. A warning has also been maintained in the states of North-East India regarding continuous heavy rains. There are chances of heavy rains along with thunderstorms in many parts of Eastern and Central India, while the rains are going to continue in Tamil Nadu and Kerala of South India also.
