On Saturday, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will jointly inaugurate development projects exceeding ₹47,600 crores in Odisha, as confirmed by officials. President Murmu arrived in the state on Friday evening and will participate in the event in Rayagada district alongside the Prime Minister.
This event marks a rare occasion where both of the country's top leaders will come together for a development initiative. Officials noted that the projects span various sectors, including energy, industrial infrastructure, roads, drinking water, health, education, tourism, and irrigation, and are being launched to commemorate the anniversary of the BJP government's second term in Odisha.
According to an official statement, these initiatives aim to enhance the state's infrastructure, improve connectivity, boost energy security, and create new employment opportunities. The statement emphasized that these efforts reflect the Prime Minister's vision for inclusive and comprehensive development, which will accelerate growth in tribal and rural areas and play a crucial role in delivering benefits to every corner of the state.
