The appointment is particularly significant for Manoj Paramahamsa, as he is an alumnus of the same institution where he received his early training in cinematography.
He began his career by assisting DOP S Saravanan in films such as Pammal K Sambandam, Arasatchi, Priyamana Thozhi, Madhurey, Thirupaachi and Thirupathibefore taking over the camera by himself.
After his debut in Arivazhagan’s Eeram (2009), he built a stellar career for himself, earning name and fame through his projects that he undertook beyond Tamil cinema. Some of his notabe works beyond the above-mentioned films include Nadunisi Naaygal, Sillu Karuppatti, Radhe Shyam, Princeand Guntur Kaaramamong others. He turned producer with Halitha Shameem’s Poovarasam Peepeeand went on to collaborate with her once again in Sillu Karuppatti and then backed her latest film Minmini.
He is currently awaiting the release of Gautham Menon’s long delayed Dhruva Natchathiram.
