RCF Vacancy 2026: Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala, has issued a recruitment notification for 23 posts for sportspersons under the Sports Quota recruitment drive for 2026-27. Through this recruitment, eligible athletes from various sports disciplines will have the opportunity to secure employment with Indian Railways. Interested and eligible candidates can apply via the offline mode. The application process commenced on June 15, 2026, and the deadline for submitting applications is July 14, 2026.

Know all application conditions
Level-1 Post: Candidates must have passed the 10th standard. Additionally, ITI qualifications, equivalent qualifications, or the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by the NCVT will also be accepted.
Level-2 Posts: Candidates must have passed the 10th standard. Furthermore, possessing an ITI qualification or an Act Apprenticeship Certificate issued by the NCVT in the relevant trade is mandatory.
Level-4/5 Posts: Candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognized university. Knowledge of Hindi or English typing on a computer is also required.
Application Fee
For the Rail Coach Factory Sports Quota recruitment, General, OBC, and other candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹500. Candidates who appear for the trials will receive a refund of ₹400 (after the deduction of bank charges). Meanwhile, the application fee for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Ex-servicemen, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), women, minorities, and the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) is set at ₹250. Upon participating in the trials, they will receive a refund of ₹200 (after the deduction of bank charges).
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on a total of 100 marks. The allocation is as follows: 50 marks for the assessment of sports achievements, 40 marks for the evaluation of sports skills, physical fitness, and performance by the coach during the trials, and 10 marks for educational qualifications. Candidates who perform well in the selection process will be included in the final merit list.
