With this, Australia has won the T20 series from Bangladesh. Bangladesh has completed its revenge by defeating Australia in the second match at Bir Shrestho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chittagong. Australia was defeated by Bangladesh in the three-match ODI series. Now Australia has defeated Bangladesh in the T20 series. With this the Kangaroo team has settled its scores with the Bangla Tigers.
Today i.e. on 19th June (Friday), 2 T20 matches were played between Bangladesh and Australia. Batting first in this match, Australia scored 196 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. While chasing this target, Bangladesh team was able to score 189 runs by losing 6 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 7 runs. In the first match of this series, Australia had won by 4 wickets. Now the third T20 match of this series will be played in the same stadium on June 21.
Matt Renshaw played a brilliant innings
In this match, Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis came to open the innings for Australia. Both of them added 30 runs for the first wicket in 2.4 overs. Marsh scored 20 runs and English scored 11 runs for the team. Matt Renshaw scored the most runs for Australia. He played a stormy half-century innings for the team. Renshaw played an innings of 89 runs in 52 balls with 4 fours and 5 sixes. During this period his strike rate was 171.15.
For the team, Dim David came in the lower order and played an inning of 42 runs in 26 balls with 2 fours and 4 sixes and took the team’s score to 196. For Bangladesh, Nasum Ahmed took maximum 2 wickets in this match, while Mustafizur Rahman, Nahid Rana and Abdul Ghaffar Saqlain took 1 wicket each.
Bangladesh batsmen proved colorless
Bangladesh needed 197 runs to win this match. In such a situation, Tanzeed Hasan Tamim and Saif Hasan came to start the innings for the team. Both of them gave a stormy start to their team and added 48 runs in 3.4 overs. For the team, Tamim scored 30 runs in 15 balls with 4 fours and 1 six and Hasan scored 42 runs in 33 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes. He was also the highest run scorer for the team.
Apart from these two, for Bangladesh, Parvez Hussain Emon scored 36 runs with 2 fours and 3 sixes in 22 balls and Tauheed Hridoy scored 35 runs in 22 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes, but both were not successful in leading their team to victory. Aaron Hardy took maximum 2 wickets for Australia. Apart from them, Nathan Ellis, Matt Renshaw, Adam Zampa and Joel Davis got one wicket each.
