If you want to visit five major pilgrimage sites of the country in one trip, then IRCTC has planned a special religious tour for you. In this ‘Panch Mahatirtha Darshan Yatra’ to be conducted through ‘Bharat Gaurav’ special tourist train, passengers will be taken to Jagannath Puri, Kamakhya, Gaya, Kashi and Ayodhya. The tour will run from 29 August 2026 to 10 September 2026, covering a total of 12 nights and 13 days.

**Where will the train run from?**

This special train will run from Rajkot. Passengers can board the train from several stations en route, including Surendranagar, Viramgam, Sabarmati Junction, Nadiad, Anand, Chhayapuri, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Ujjain and Sant Hirdaram Nagar. During the journey, arrangements have been made for the pilgrims to visit major religious and historical sites. The first main stop will be Puri in Odisha, where the pilgrims will visit Lord Jagannath Temple. You will also get a chance to visit Puri Beach and local markets. On the second day, plan to visit the world famous Konark Sun Temple and Lingaraja Temple in Bhubaneswar.

**Travel in Assam and Bihar**

After Odisha, the train will reach Guwahati in Assam, where the pilgrims will visit Maa Kamakhya Temple, a revered Shaktipeeth. Adequate time has been kept in the itinerary for special darshan at Kamakhya temple, so that the passengers can participate in the religious rituals. After Guwahati, the tour will take them to Gaya and Bodhgaya in Bihar. Here, darshan of Mahabodhi Temple, huge statue of Buddha, Vishnupad Temple and Maa Sarvamangala Gauri Shaktipeeth will be included. These places have great religious importance in both Buddhism and Hinduism.

**Places to visit in Uttar Pradesh**

After this, the pilgrims will reach Varanasi, where they will get a chance to visit Baba Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Maa Annapurna Temple. Experiencing the spiritual atmosphere of Ganga Ghat will also be a main attraction of this journey. After Varanasi, the yatra will reach Ayodhya where Ram Janmabhoomi temple and Hanumangarhi will be visited.

**What are the costs and features?**

Booking facility is available for travel in Sleeper, 3AC and 2AC classes. The per person fare has been fixed at ₹24,200 for sleeper class, ₹40,100 for 3AC and ₹49,500 for 2AC. This package includes facilities like train travel, hotel accommodation, pure vegetarian meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), bottled water daily, local transport, tour escort, security personnel and travel insurance. However, entry fees to monuments, special darshan tickets, personal expenses, guide’s fees and other personal services are not included in this package.
